There are few things as impactful as caring for parents and children in their most critical state, and that's why the need for midwives is rising. Midwives have a unique opportunity to transform lives and
communities on the mission field.
BGU makes the journey to becoming a midwife-missionary easy by providing a clear path to a lifetime of gospel impact overseas.
Missions-Minded Community
All of the students, staff, and faculty at BGU are focused solely on Christ-centered missions among unreached people groups.
Earn an Accredited Degree
Earn a fully accredited Bachelor of Science double major in Midwifery and Bible & Theology. Plus, you'll graduate with a minor in Intercultural Ministry Studies.
Spend 13 Months Overseas
BGU will walk you through the process before, during, and after the mission field so you are fully equipped to make an impact as a midwife overseas.
Spend 13 Months Overseas
All students spend 13-months studying overseas during their Junior year at BGU. We call this Global Internship.
During Global Internship, you will gain competence in another language, see the practical impact of midwifery in missions, learn to do ministry among unreached people groups, and learn to transition easily between multiple cultures.
You can study in one of several countries, including some restricted access countries not listed.
After my two years on campus and 13-month internship, I could be dropped anywhere in the world and know how to be an effective missionary.

Training Midwife Missionaries to Change Communities

In most midwifery programs, students are required to find their own clinical placements in order to complete the program. This can cost the student extra time and money.
We believe that extra time and money can keep students from being as effective as possible on the mission field. That's why we decided to find your clinical placements for you. Our goal is to help you be as successful as possible on the mission field.
